Yoga’s regulating, healing and energizing properties can help alleviate many of the symptoms and causes of depression. In this workshop you will learn a comprehensive set of tools for healing depression including: yoga postures, yogic breathing, meditation and acupressure points. We will learn yoga techniques to activate and move prana in the body, open the heart center, stimulate the nervous system and balance the body-mind-spirit. The causes of depression will be explained using the principles of yogic philosophy. A printed sequence of yoga poses and a resource guide to articles, books, videos and websites will be provided.
