New Moon Sound Bath

Date: Wednesday, September 9, 2026
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: HapBE Valley, 21 Noah's Valley, Leicester, NC 28748
Price: $30

We will use the potent, grounding energy of the New Moon in Virgo to clear away mental clutter, let go of the summer season, and untangle a busy mind. Discernment is the medicine of this new moon, and we will use simple movement, breathwork, meditation, and a 60-minute sound bath to cultivate clear-seeing wisdom, release perfectionism, and drop deep into a state of dreamlike rest.

We'll begin by grounding our energy, softening self-judgment, and easing the urge to over-function through simple Kriya movements, followed by Pranayama to create clarity, soothe the nervous system, and invite inner peace. We will transition into a calming 60-minute sound immersion, and we will end with a Ho'oponopono forgiveness meditation to heal old wounds, clear the heart space, and seal our intentions at the start of this new cycle.

Sound baths promote deep release and relaxation, and entrain our brainwaves to shift into a dreamlike state. This gentle, grounding practice is open to everybody—no experience needed. Come as you are, tired or wired or somewhere in between. We'll provide a thick foam sound bath mat, along with cushions and blankets. Just wear something comfortable and bring your water bottle.

Vinyasa & Sound Bath to Embrace the Equinox

Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Asheville Community Yoga, 8 Brookdale Rd, Asheville, NC 28804
Price: $30

Embrace the equinox with a Vinyasa practice designed to let go of summer and embrace stability, gratitude, and introspection. Then let a soothing sound bath with singing bowls, gongs, rainsticks, tongue drums, and chimes carry you into deep rest and renewal.

The equinox marks a place of balance and a transition point. This shift from summer to autumn is a natural time to align your practice with the changing rhythms of the earth, to release excess of summer and prepare the body and mind for the quieter months ahead.

We will use asana and pranayama to support this shift by focusing on stability, gratitude, letting go and renewal. An hour-long sound bath will follow the vinyasa sequence to further ground, nourish, calm, and harmonize your body, heart, and mind. Sound baths promote deep release and relaxation, and entrain our brainwaves to shift into a dreamlike state.

Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Rad Yoga, 20 Artful Way, Suite 110, Asheville, NC 28801

We will use the potent, transformative energy of the New Moon in Libra to restore balance and harmony and open the heart to compassion and connection. Boundaries are the medicine of this new moon, and we will use simple movement, breathwork, meditation, and a 60-minute sound bath to restrain over-giving, return home to your true self, and drop deep into a state of dreamlike rest.

We'll begin by grounding our energy and strengthening boundaries and self-awareness through simple Kriya movements, followed by Pranayama to create safety, soothe the nervous system, and invite inner peace. We will transition into a calming 60-minute sound immersion, and we will end with a loving-kindness meditation to open the heart with compassion and seal our intentions at the start of this new cycle.

Sound baths promote deep release and relaxation, and entrain our brainwaves to shift into a dreamlike state. This gentle, grounding practice is open to everybody—no experience needed. Samskara & Synapse: Yoga to Rewire Your Brain

Date: Thursday, October 22, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Asheville Community Yoga, 8 Brookdale Rd, Asheville, NC 28804
Price: $30

Recent studies in neurobiology reveal how yoga can influence the creation, strengthening, and changing of the brain's neural pathways. This workshop offers a diverse toolkit of yoga practices, informed by modern research, to help rewire unconscious and unhealthy habit patterns.

In yoga, our unconscious habit patterns are known as samskaras. Yogis and modern science agree that when these patterns repeat, the brain's synaptic connections strengthen and speed up until they run as automatic habits rather than conscious choices, and that these patterns can be changed. This workshop draws on pranayama, asana, kriya, mudra, vairagya (non-attachment), tapas (disciplined effort), and drishti (focal point) to work with that process directly.

You'll learn what samskaras are in yogic philosophy and how they relate to neuroplasticity, how breath practices, mudras, and drishti can down-regulate the nervous system, how sustained isometric asana holds function as engineered mastery experiences, and how to use the neuroplastic pause, the brief gap between a trigger and your habitual reaction, to strengthen a new pathway.

Slow Flow & Sound Bath for Grounding & Gratitude

Date: Thursday, November 19, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Asheville Community Yoga, 8 Brookdale Rd, Asheville, NC 28804
Price: $30

Cultivate gratitude and grounding as you move through a slow flowing Vinyasa practice of backbends and rooted standing poses. Then surrender into deep rest and renewal with a soothing sound bath with singing bowls, gongs, rainsticks, tongue drums, and chimes.

When we feel gratitude, we feel full, abundant, and blessed. When we feel grounded, we feel present, calm, centered, and clear-headed. This slow flowing vinyasa sequence focuses on upper back bends and stable, rooted standing asanas to summon both. An hour-long sound bath follows to further ground, nourish, calm, and balance your body, heart, and mind.

Sound baths promote deep release and relaxation, and entrain our brainwaves to shift into a dreamlike state. We'll close with an integration practice to help carry that sense of grounding and gratitude with you after the workshop ends.
